Note: Your Staff Manager configuration may not include this optional application. To add this application to your configuration, contact your Clinical Consultant or Client Advocate.
Organizations that need to manage providers’ work time across multiple labor accounts can use the Effort Distribution Interface to streamline this process. The interface uses the provider schedules in Staff Manager and a two-way interface to the Infor Labor Distribution solution.
The interface has three major parts.
If your Staff Manager configuration includes the Effort Distribution interface, the Configure menu has an additional menu option: Interface Mappings > Effort Distribution. If Staff Manager is not configured with this interface, the menu option does not appear.
An Effort Distribution Value Set is a group of accounting codes that you connect to a task through configuring the Effort Distribution Interface. The interface uses value sets to allocate paid hours across externally funded projects, such as grants. You can view value sets on the Effort Distribution Task Setup page in the Task Configuration pane.
Your Cerner Clairvia Clinical Consultant sets the Effort Distribution export to run on a set schedule. When it runs, the Effort Distribution export creates a single aggregate record of all scheduled time associated with tasks having the same labor account values for each provider.
EXAMPLE
Dr. Goode's schedule includes the following tasks:
The Effort Distribution export sends two records to the Infor Labor Distribution solution: one for the 8 hours of travel time and one for the 32 hours spent on grant work. The export omits the teaching time that is unassociated with a value set.
